A year again @ iridium Interactive

This is an anniversary reminiscence. I’ve been a part of the workforce of iridium Interactive for the past one year.

So when I started, I was more relieved than happy (not downsizing the happiness factor). I felt somebody discovered me literally and that’s always a great feeling. To keep an exploring eye on a workforce (“employee” maybe too flat) every time is even more remarkable. I can relish in that because I believe in being fruitful in whatever way I can be.

I have traveled in all corners of the workplace, teamed up with different guys on different assignments and done different things I essentially enjoyed doing. If I haven’t enjoyed any, it has definitely been noted. I blogged remarkably after coming to iridium Interactive. I explored JQuery too at Iridium. I got to visit Google in my living flesh after I joined iridium Interactive. Definitely, the dot they put the dot on was in my psyche.

I have seen those distinct “circles” forming in the social sphere (some of which I have tried to fit in) within the workforce. On the lighter side aside from work, there still maybe more listeners than performers, a gap which maybe bridging fast. Besides, I am finding good old bachelors waning into their new-found family lives. It had to happen and I know that well.

Currently, I am recovering from all attempts to produce satisfaction if not happiness, and spreading my stuff on the table for the world to choose from. I should be feeling like a beginner somewhere after aging and probably maturing to whatever limit I have. That’s because only a fresh plate is served generously into.

I love iridium Interactive to be honest. I sincerely wish I could contribute ever more from my pool of skills and potential to this company.

iridium Interactive Premier League Season 3

Here I go, with my first post on iridium Interactive Blog and I don’t find a better occasion than this to start blogging about “IIPL 3” or iridium Interactive Premier League- Season 3, the most awaited event at iridium. The day started with a little confusion for the newbie’s of hyderabad had trouble finding the right ground in Redhills. However, the cricket match started on time with a bang. The two teams- “Badshahs” and “The Rocks” ( the team I was in) competing for the coveted IIPL Team Championship Trophy. As the energy levels were as high as the Eagles gliding over the grounds and the un-invited guests watching our drama, Badshahs choose to bat after winning the toss. The players were exhilarated, high and happily engrossed into the game. Setting a high target of 137 runs, we,”The Rocks” took the pitch to claim it our own, winning by tournament by 8 wickets. There was a nail biting tension when we were inching towards the target steadily. Thanks to all the cheers and boos from the crowd, that gave us the energy of 100 ‘Red bulls’ put together. Girls had their fun part too playing on the grounds after the iipl and also the “Super Overs” bowled at them during their innings break. All’s Well That Ends Well as I was awarded the “Best Bowler”, thanks to the Batsmen Team building games and of course the en-thrilling match made IIPL season 3 an event that will not be forgotten till the next IIPL.

Bridging Distances at iridium Interactive

How much is too much, we often pondered? Sometimes bridging the gap between the 1^st and the 4^th floor of an office improves communication so much better. So we set about bridging the gap between the Sales & Marketing and the Delivery Team by consolidating our entire operations on to a Single, Bigger Floor in the 4^th floor. This meant a lot of clitter and clatter. Monday turned out to be a day of surprise, we walked into an office sans the door. Surprised , rather Shocked, we were to see our swanky office with almost nothing in it. Surprised with the almost deserted office that we all are used to working in, it is uncannily funny to see people swipe their access cards to a door that does not exist anymore. Victims to this habit being many and the “oops” expression on their faces, it was a sight that was repeated over and over again today, much to their colleagues amusement and roars of laughter that echoed in this defurnitured (coined the term just now ha ha) room.

Everyone at Hyderabad Competence center are excited about the new office space that is getting made on the top floor with an excellent view from the corner block, of the greenery of the Banjara hills. Also the new block is next to our ‘Private Starbucks’ as quoted by one of our US clients. He was so excited to see the pantry that he insisted that most of the meetings and team huddles should be done on the top floor. Thanks to him, this really gave us the thought to integrate both the floors and thanks to Sriram, he pulled a quick one over the weekend to get a nod on this Big Move. Much to the ‘Pleasant surprise’ of most of us when we walked into the office today we found almost every bit on the floor getting moved out over the weekend. What’s more, the entire thing was planned with not a single member’s productivity being disturbed. Desks were moved, Computers shifted, Private draws safely tucked under each desk, and yet not a trace of disturbance, we were amused at the way things were pulled through over the weekend.

Everyone’s pretty excited about the new block and are looking forward for Vinod’s promise of a blast in the New block on the Valentines day, rather night. Watch this column for the exciting happenings at iridium.
