Awestruck after seeing the title..you must be thinking what’s special on 4th of July…I’m seriously not gonna bug u guys, by writing an essay on America s Independence day..this is not meant for that . It was in this day I had step foot in iridium Interactive Ltd. Hyderabad. It s my maiden voyage leaving my alma mater (meant my college here). I knew it’s gonna be tough.

New environment (Hyderabad..never been here b4), new faces..Hmm..Everything s gonna be new to me. To be frank guys, I was tensed and perplexed like never before (not to mention my first seminar..ha ha).ok.Now coming to the very first interaction..Guess who..It was the company’s HR Mrs.Haripriya .It was a feel good experience I should say. I made myself relaxed(ha ha).This being our first day of PS(Practice School as we say)we thought that we will be left free for the day(bitsian nature..sorry) but den that was not the case..Little did I know that Pooja was waiting to deliver us an hour long lecture. She took us into a whole new world called CRM (swear I have never heard of it b4).She gave us a tantalizing talk on the tools /softwares that are used in their ongoing Ranbaxy project.After she was done I felt like I was out of a Greek and Latin class (first experience..!!) .The best part was I wasn’t able to keep track of her for the whole 1n half hours..Its tough u know (.)If only I had attended my lectures back in college..(..).
Our next n final interaction was with Mr.Nishanth, Key Accounts Manager, I was told that he was a bitsian too..() He gave a brief intro about himself and also his bitsian life. We were asked about our area of interests individually..When it was my turn I was not hesitant to say that management is not my cup of tea..() and that I m totally into coding. He assured that he will soon look into it. Today is 1rst august, nearly a month after I got into Iridium Interactive. I’m feeling at ease. Everything is going on fyn.. that’s all for now..L keep u guys updated..CUT ..CUT…GUESS HAVE BORED U ENUF..()

On 8th august 2004, I entered the BITSian family and for the next three and half years I was on vacation. All the movies that are made on student life have failed to show at least half the fun we had at BITS. Everything in life has to end at one point or the other and there came the time where I had to think about my career options.My PS2 stations list which had 270 stations spread all around the world was out. For me it was just a narrow list of 40 stations in Hyderabad because I choose to stay closer to my family and friends.

So what next??Should I go for core Electronics Company or a software company? Scanning through the list I laid my eyes on iridium Interactive for a second….the first thing you do when you want to know something about anything is to Google it! I did the same and for the next half an hour I was amazed by the work done by this company and finally put it on the top of my list.

ON 4^th July 2008, I set my foot in iridium Interactive and I couldn’t imagine a more warm welcome from them. Firstly you can’t help noticing the ever smiling faces of the ii team who seem to enjoy every moment of their work. In iridium you don’t find people who are working just to fill their pockets, here you find people who are passionate about their work. I was thrilled to see my fellow BITSians working here. It’s been 4 weeks and I can see myself being involved in client meetings, client calls and most importantly am enjoying a healthy relationship with my team. I got my first taste of corporate world here and it sure tastes sweet to me. Hope the future is even more promising at ii.

My first day at the company was incredibly distressing as working in a company was a completely new experience for me altogether. Actually, I was trying to cope myself up with the professional environment and was analyzing people, their behavior and a lot many aspects so as to adapt myself. I was hoping that it would take some time to settle down but things moved much faster than expected.
I became relaxed and bit cool on my first meeting with Ms. Haripriya, who encouraged us by being friendly and giving an incredible support in settling down.The next few days provided me lots of information , I would rather say great learning, to me with Ms.Pooja delivering lectures on Customer Relationship Management which is absolutely a new subject. I was really interested in learning new things but on the other side I was a bit worried about the goal I had. I was more interested in programming than CRM. Just then, I met Mr. Nishant who personally cared to inquire my interests. This really made to express my thoughts, feelings, ideas, and future goals. Assurance by him and others like Mr.Ram made me happy that I was taking the right direction. This kind of personal care taken by everyone here made me cherish. After two weeks, finally, I was informed that I have to attend training sessions on programming. This personal care taken by almost everyone is definitely an unforgettable experience for me. The support by everyone, which actually helped me to assert professionally and push myself further in my internship brought me ‘Happy Days’ again…

Very few students get the chance to work on the aspects and in fields they like. I am proud to say that I am one of them. I was given a chance to work in the most energetic corporate floor. This chance turned into possibility. The whole 158 days I am lucky enough to work for corporate floor.

‘Fantastic’ is the word to describe the work environment. It is all about sharing ideologies and innovative thoughts amongst the people.

Work together, achieve together, share together are the three important phrases which bring strength into our teams. My bosses are too good, they encouraged me a lot, spared me many times for my silly mistakes.

Coming to fun part, though I could not have gala time like freaking out for movies like my other friends at different companies, I could spend the time called ‘fun time’ at ii, by enjoying the work I did. And I am going to miss all the celebrations, functions, throw ball matches, contests and especially ii family very soon not as a student but as an individual. My hearty wishes to ii family, all the best for the coming days!!!!
