Kurumgondhi is a interior rural village in the Yellavaram constituency, Gangavaram Mandal in the district of East Godavari.
The village was inundated with heavy rains during the month of December-January 2006. Many human and animal lives were lost and crops were washed out due to this heavy rain. Entire villages around this place were totally cut off from the rest of the district for a long time. These villages being situated in high altitude and in the midst of thick jungles experience very low temperatures especially during the nights.

Around 140 Bed sheets were distributed in the village of Kurumgondhi and around 210 bedsheets were distributed in the surrounding 8 villages to the poor and the needy.

The identification of the villages and the beneficiaries were made based on the records shown in the Women Self Help Groups and the Village Voters list.
