iridium Interactive wins The Manthan-AIF Award 2006 for India's Best e-Content for the Bengali Diaspora

iridium Interactive was today awarded The Manthan-AIF Award 2006 in the e-culture category for its work in creating the truly interactive community focused website Ananda Utsav. The site captures the colour, sounds, frenetic activity and even the smells of Kolkata during this high-spirited period in the Kolkata year. Through the use of photographs of puja pandals from across the world and images from Kolkata itself, which was converted into Flash movies, the excitement and religious fervour of this high point in Kolkata’s calendar comes shining through.

The Ananda Utsav site attracted an overwhelming response from visitors. The success of the site may be attributed to the many features on it but also an understanding of what Puja means to the Bengali community homebound or on the other side of the world. The site has been able to reach out to every Bengali in the world wherever they may be and give them a taste of the sounds and sights of home.

iridium Interactive has designed and created the Ananda Utsav site that transcends geographical boundaries, to bring the cultural phenomenon of Kolkata to the world and knitting the world wide Bengali diaspora.

This award reconfirms iridium Interactive‘s consistent and proven ability to understand the desire of the client, translate that desire into web practicality while adding value and our creative inputs said Mr. Manish Kumar, Practice Head, iridium Interactive Ltd.

With the award of the Manthan-AIF Award 2006, the iridium Interactive trophy cabinet is getting crowded. iridium Interactive, in the past, has bagged the Award For Excellence in Advertising (ADEX) three years in a row!
