Distribution of Slates for School Children

School children of the age group of 3-10 years were distributed with slates and slate pencils. Around 1000 slates have been distributed to the school going children in Maddulur Bodalur Akumavidi Kota Boddlanka Maredumilli Guttedu These school children did not get assistance from any other organizations for the purchase of slates. The children were identified based on the records shown by the School.

Rehabilitation of Tsunami Affected Victims

The Tsunami set off by an earthquake unleashed a trail of death and destruction killing thousands of people. Fisherfolk have been the most affected by the Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea tsunamis of 26 December. They have not only lost many loved ones but also their livelihoods, homes as well as their fishing gear and boats. Many are fearful of returning to the sea and suffer from extreme post-disaster trauma.
